Retirement Discount and Tin Churches
The neighborhood hairdresser with retirement discount, the weird church made of tin, and the gravestone store with the coolest name!
I still don't have any internet since The Great Thunder (sure it will go down in history as such) last weekend, which gives me extreme amounts of time to check out new things around the block - such as hairdressers and what not.
Our street now has a kiosk, a pizzeria, a hairdresser, a tattoo shop, and a bar (open from 10 to 10). Why would you ever want to go any where else?

gifts
I've gotten so many gifts recently, and it wasn't even my birthday.
Rasmus and I got the chubby elephant from Rasmus' sister Bodil, who just travelled in Nepal, Laos, and India. It's come all the way from one of these countries. I can't remember which, but supposes India, and cant't remember his name, but has given him a new one: Walter.
The owl-watch I got from Rasmus from his recent trip to Berlin. I didn't get to come (just for german-studying young men), so I got this and the Kicker-girl instead.
I'm wearing the watch almost all the time and when I'm not, I'm practicing soccer to be just as good as Kicker-girl.

gifts
So these are some of the wonderful things I got for my birthday:
a very, very beautiful juwellery box from Rasmus;
a purple (gigantic) vase WITH branches in it;
another beautiful smoke coulored vase for hyacinths;
and from this good friend one of those books, you don't read but look at, and you don't even have to begin at the beginning.
Wonderful!

Flowers
My Grandfather died 10 days ago, and last friday we burried him from a very beautiful church on a hill near the ocean close to where I grew up. Unfortunately I can't show you the church or the hill or the ocean, since I didn't bring my camera - it seemed inappropriate!
I did, however, buy this little plant and eat an unseemingly large amount of meatballs to honor his memory; he loved meatballs with cabbage stew and boiled potatos, and so do I. Does it sound disgusting? Well, it tastes fantastic.
I also bought this yellow candle holder at Louisiana, where I went to see Walton Ford - I took aaa looot of photos, which I found out afterwards I wasn't aloud to, but hey, now I get to share them with you, so that's good.
I'll show you them one of these days.

Learning new stuff
My homework for this class mostly consist of video tutorials, so if any of you have a "must-definitely-watch"-tutorial, send me a link and I will be so very happy and grateful!
Have a great sunday, whatever is left.
