Cemetery

The cemetery at the end of my road is beautiful in the sommer as well as in wintertime - these pictures are taken right after The Great Thunder two weeks ago (by the way, still haven't got any internet connection, which is why I'm a not so steady blogger).

Afterwards it was extremely hot and foggy at the same time.

Copenhagen

So, as I mentioned, I'm spending this summer at home here i Copenhagen, which I'm actually looking forward to. Last year Rasmus and I spent the entire time in Japan, so we didn't really get to see anybody.

And since then, even more people have presented themselves - for example my good friend's very cute little girl, Viola.

Also, Rasmus complained the other day that he was a bit absent in here, so there you have him - he's a fine looking fella, isn't he? I love the guy in the back drinking bear with a small beer belly and a sailor shirt.

My summer plans are Stockholm, perhaps Silkeborg and a lot of Copenhagen - any tips for Stockholm? And what are you going to spend your time doing this summer?

stacks

It seems people stack up these days - everywhere I look, there they are, laying around horizontally. Even I feel like shifting from vertical positioning.

Everybody and everything just has to get out, which makes the general picture on the street and in the parks a great batch of people, animals, plants, and flowers, and they all seem to mix wonderfully.

springtime

I think it actually might be spring here in Copenhagen. You never know when it's going to snow again, but it's seem promising - birds nests, those small flowers in the grass I don't know the name of, and - most importantly - soccer on the great green grass! We played for the second time this season yesterday and I found myself liking the colony of people playing reggae and grilling next to the soccer field.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not a sommer person, so when I get these springtime butterflies I really don't know what to do with them; should I also be out grilling and drinking bear in a park 24-7 until September?

Stressful.

Ps. I don't remember who, but someone once told me something about electrical wires in cities and how they seem to promote some sense of community and collectivity. Copenhagen is supposedly a city with few of these wires in the air, so I thought I would immortalize a hub of wires in a photo.

The view from my window just three days ago, and now it's raining. So this is kind of a note to self. 

Reminds me of this song, which I used to listen to aaaallll the time. I don't anymore, but it IS a great and very morning fresh song!

Summer Anytime Soon?

I'm generally not a summer-person. I think it's so stressful, since you are actually able to be anywhere, which makes me feel that not only can I; I should be everywhere aaaaall the time!

Also, I thought I would never miss summer again after the hottest 5 weeks in Japan last year. But now, alas, I do.  So now I'm reminiscing about some good sommer times.

1 + 2 + 3: Flo and Joy from Berlin visited us in Copenhagen, so we took them to the beach and took them to one of the many festivals here in Copenhagen during the summer.

4: Ice coffee in Matsuyama, Japan, beautifully served with the funniest sugar gel. I never really got the idea with this, especially because I don't use sugar in my coffee. But I did eat them every time, hoping they might taste of something different. They didn't, but we had tons of ice coffee, so I had a lot of sugar gel.

5: Thordis and I made a radio show about Roskilde Festival at the university radio, so we went there some time in early June to check it out before it's taken over by tents and drunken people. Calm before the storm. Lovely.
